Paying parking fees
When you park in any of our fee-based parking areas, you can pay with a debit or fuel card at a parking meter, through an app, or via SMS.
Payment by phone through apps or SMS offers several advantages for you as a parking customer. You don’t have to wait in line at parking meters, and you can extend your parking time anytime and anywhere. It’s up to you as the parking customer to choose the provider that best suits your needs.
Borås kommuns Parkerings AB does not charge any extra fees for using these services in our parking areas or along the streets. We also pay all the app providers to maintain the apps free of charge, so that you will not incur any additional fees when you park. In all our parking areas, there are four apps to choose from. For three of the apps—Parkster, ePark, and Mobill—the free option works automatically. If you choose Easypark, you must actively select and monitor that you have the free option. PAY USING YOUR PHONE
Paying by phone, via SMS or app, offers several advantages for you as a parking customer. You don’t have to wait in line at parking meters, and you can extend your parking time anytime and anywhere.
As a parking customer, you choose the provider that best suits your needs. We have four providers for payment via phone. Read more about the different ways to use their services and payment methods under each provider. When you park using these services, you need to enter a five-digit area code, which is displayed at the parking location.
If you are using SMS payment in one of our long-term areas (7 days), please note that you cannot pay for more than one day at a time via SMS. If you wish to pay for a longer period, you will need to extend it repeatedly (refer to the reply SMS for your started parking) or choose another payment method, such as an app on your phone or a parking meter.

When you park using EasyPark, you need to select the package “Borås Lokal” to park without additional fees. You will also need to switch back to this option if you have selected EasyPark Standard/EasyPark Small for another parking. This selection can be made by visiting easypark.se and logging into My Profile or through the EasyPark app. See the step-by-step instructions below for app. This does not apply to the other app providers Parkster, ePark, and Mobill.
Step 1: Open the EasyPark app.
Step 2: Click on the menu at the top right.
Step 3: Click on Price Plans.
Step 4: At the bottom of the page, it says, “If you are eligible for EasyPark Lokal in your city, you can switch to it here.” Click where it says “here.”
Step 5: Click “Select” and then choose “Borås” from the menu, and finally click “Save.”
Step 6: A pop-up will appear indicating that you have now switched to EasyPark Lokal. Click OK.
PAYING WITH CARD
You can pay with your card at all our parking meters; we accept debit and charge cards such as fuel cards, Visa, and Mastercard.
